Lead Mechanical Assembler

Polar needs experienced individuals to help manage the production of our DC generators and renewable energy systems. As lead assembler you are responsible for managing work orders using production software (MRP), supervising other assemblers, inspecting their work and performing the more complicated assembly procedures.

Lead assemblers must be detail oriented with strong organization skills.

Desirable technical skills include:

  • Expert with most production type: hand, pneumatic, electric tools used in mechanical assembly
  • Precision drill and tap holes
  • Manage assembly line application of precision torque drivers, impact wrenches and etc.
  • Application of adhesives and coatings
  • Able to identify: nonconforming product and raw materials.
  • Manage tool calibration and solve for failed materials and tools. 
  • Help to ensure the quality and integrity of products manufactured is maintained.
  • Be able to perform off of mechanical and electrical drawings & schematics, engineering orders, assembly routes, work orders, travelers, BOMs, and quality directives
  • Observes all safety rules and maintains a clean, organized work area

You must have:

  • Fluent English and possess very good communication skills
  • Applicant must have a current California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • You must be able to lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds


Compensation will be based on experience and talent.
